On 11-12 June 2026, the fifth edition of Spinoff Europe Conference 2026 took place at the Technical University of Sofia. The international forum focused on innovation, the deep tech ecosystem, and the transfer of scientific research into real-world business solutions. The event brought together representatives from academia, industry, investors, technology companies, startups, and organizations from across Europe working in fields such as artificial intelligence, biotechnology, cybersecurity, microelectronics, and clean technologies.
Carbonsafe participated in the second day of the conference, dedicated to technological innovation and industrial transformation. As part of the program, Dobromir Kasabov, Head of Trade and Finance at Carbonsafe, delivered a presentation titled “Mechatronics and Clean Technology – Driving Europe’s Industrial Transformation.”
The presentation explored the key trends shaping the future of European industry, including the role of clean technologies, digitalization, and sustainable business models. Particular emphasis was placed on the importance of reliable data, transparency, and traceability in the implementation of climate solutions, as well as the growing role of voluntary carbon markets in encouraging investments in sustainable practices.
Special attention was given to carbon farming as one of the opportunities to combine climate objectives with the sustainable development of agriculture. The presentation highlighted the importance of measurable results, soil analysis, and independent verification of data as fundamental elements for building trust among both farmers and potential buyers of carbon credits.
The conference provided an opportunity for knowledge exchange between representatives from different sectors and for discussions on the challenges facing the European economy in the context of the green and digital transition. Key topics included Europe’s technological independence, innovation in microelectronics, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and the development of clean technologies as a driver of competitiveness.
