On October 31, 2025, the Hilton Sofia Hotel became a hub of vision, innovation, and dialogue about the future of European industry.
The international conference IN Sofia 2025, organized by the Confederation of Employers and Industrialists in Bulgaria (KRIB), brought together leading representatives of European and Bulgarian institutions, business, and the technology sector to discuss how Europe can remain competitive in the era of green and digital transformation.
Among the participants was Chavdar Marinov, CEO & Co-Founder at Carbonsafe, who attended as part of the business community actively engaged in topics such as sustainable development, industrial transformation, and climate responsibility.
The conference highlighted the EU’s Clean Industrial Deal – a vision for a modern, energy-efficient, and decarbonized European economy. The forum focused on energy independence, green transformation, access to raw materials and funding, as well as mechanisms for protecting European industry, including the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM).
The stage of IN Sofia 2025 featured some of the most prominent voices of Europe’s industrial and technological transformation – from policymakers and innovators to business leaders.
Key speakers included Ekaterina Zaharieva, European Commissioner for Innovation and Startups; Tomislav Donchev, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Innovation and Growth; and Zhecho Stankov, Minister of Energy. They were joined by Radan Kanev and Tsvetelina Penkova, Members of the European Parliament, along with business representatives such as Raycho Raychev (EnduroSat) and Dobroslav Dimitrov (BASSCOM) – a strong example that the new industrial vision is built upon collaboration between institutions and entrepreneurs.
The event became a real platform for exchanging ideas between industry, institutions, and innovators, sending a clear message – Bulgaria has the potential to be an active participant, not just an observer, in Europe’s industrial transformation.
The participation of Chavdar Marinov in the conference was part of Carbonsafe’s commitment to being an active partner in the European dialogue on sustainable agriculture, carbon solutions, and corporate responsibility.
As a Bulgarian company developing the first certified carbon farming program in the country, Carbonsafe demonstrated that innovation, science, and transparency can serve as a driving force for the green transition – not only in agriculture but also across industries.
Carbonsafe’s participation in IN Sofia 2025 is part of the company’s ongoing strategy to take an active role in key forums dedicated to sustainability and responsible innovation.
The event once again proved that the future of industry lies in the integration of technology, vision, and responsibility – three core values that Carbonsafe applies in its everyday work.
