On December 8, 2025, Belgrade became a leading platform for discussing ESG trends across the region. At the prestigious Metropol Palace Hotel, representatives of banks, corporate organizations, international institutions, and academic bodies gathered to outline the challenges and opportunities shaping sustainable development. Carbonsafe was among the participating companies, taking part in key meetings and professional discussions focused on cooperation and future initiatives.
The opening panels focused on the practical implementation of ESG principles in business. Regional leaders spoke candidly about decarbonization, social engagement, and innovation, as well as the extent to which organizations are taking action beyond formal commitments.
The session “Walking the Talk: ESG Reality & Future” clearly highlighted the need for deeper integration of ESG into corporate strategies—a topic closely aligned with Carbonsafe’s model for sustainable agriculture.
Subsequent panels deepened the discussion in several critical areas, including the banking sector and green finance, cross-sector ESG dialogue, regulatory requirements, and alignment with European policies. Frameworks such as CSRD, CBAM, the EU Taxonomy, and SFDR were examined as key elements shaping today’s corporate sustainability environment.
Particular emphasis was placed on the importance of transparency, reliable data, and robust impact measurement mechanisms—principles that underpin Carbonsafe’s science-based approach to carbon farming.
Within this context, Carbonsafe held a series of professional meetings with representatives of banks, companies, and potential partners. Discussions focused on sustainable agricultural models, opportunities for green investment, the development of regional partnerships, and the integration of science-based solutions within the agri-sector.
Participation in the conference also provided Carbonsafe with the opportunity to share its experience in regenerative practices and carbon monitoring—fields that continue to attract growing interest from the international ESG community.
The day concluded with a clear message: the region is entering a phase in which ESG is no longer a matter of choice, but a strategic necessity. Companies must be prepared for higher standards, stricter regulations, and greater expectations for transparency and measurable outcomes.
Carbonsafe holds a solid position in this dialogue—as an organization that brings a scientific approach to agriculture and contributes to the sustainable management of natural resources.
Participation in the WB ESG Conference Belgrade 2025 represents an important step in expanding Carbonsafe’s international network. The conversations initiated and partnerships formed will support the company’s continued development and its commitment to delivering sustainable solutions for farmers and the wider region.
