Why the Global Compact?

The UN Global Compact provides a framework for responsible business conduct and brings together over 20,000 companies and organizations from 160 countries. It is based on a commitment to 10 universal principles in the areas of human rights, labor standards, environmental protection, and anti-corruption – along with active contribution to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

What does it mean for Carbonsafe?

For us, sustainability is not an add-on – it is the core of our business model. Through science-based carbon farming approaches, farmer support programs, and the creation of premium carbon credits, we provide real solutions with measurable impact on the climate, the environment, and local communities.

Joining the UN Global Compact is a natural and responsible step in our mission to create long-term value – through partnership, innovation, and transparency.

Our commitments as a member:

  • Active engagement in the Network’s events, trainings, and joint initiatives;
  • Transparent communication on our progress related to the Global Compact principles;
  • Collaboration with other members to build a more sustainable business environment in Bulgaria;
  • Promoting carbon farming, digitization, and standards for green transformation.

Our vision ahead

As part of the UN Global Compact Network in Bulgaria, Carbonsafe JSC will continue contributing to systemic change in agriculture and the carbon economy. We believe that only through coordinated efforts among business, science, and society can we drive meaningful and lasting change.
