Carbonsafe™ Showcases Bulgaria’s Carbon Credit Model at Innovate4Climate 2025

Carbonsafe™ participated in one of the most prominent global events in the field of sustainable finance and carbon markets – Innovate4Climate 2025, organized by the World Bank in Seville, Spain.

The event brought together over 1,000 participants from more than 80 countries – including institutions, businesses, and experts engaged in climate solutions. Key topics included carbon pricing, sustainable finance, and the development of carbon market infrastructure.

In the Spotlight: Premium Carbon Credits

A major highlight of the conference was the increasing demand for high-quality ex-post carbon credits – that is, credits based on measured and verified results. Carbonsafe™ stood out as a strong example in this direction, due to its:

  • Scientific methodology based on soil sampling and laboratory analysis;
  • Transparency and traceability through the Balkan Carbon Credit Registry (BCCR);
  • Third-party auditing (e.g. Earthood);
  • Integration with a digital ERP system and MRV (Monitoring, Reporting, Verification) module.

World Bank Guidance on Market Infrastructure

During the forum, the World Bank introduced five Technical Guidance Notes aimed at strengthening carbon markets, covering transparency, cybersecurity, digital interoperability, and good governance. The digital infrastructure developed by Carbonsafe™ in Bulgaria aligns closely with these principles.

Voluntary and Compliance Markets: A Unified Vision

A recurring theme was the convergence of voluntary and compliance carbon markets. This integrated approach opens new opportunities for credible solutions with high traceability and measurable impact – exactly what Carbonsafe™ offers.

By participating in Innovate4Climate 2025, Carbonsafe™ reaffirmed its role as an innovative Bulgarian contributor to the global conversation on sustainable agriculture, climate finance, and impactful carbon credit generation.
