On November 4, 2025, the anniversary conference of the South Eastern Advisory Service Network (SEASN) will take place at Hotel Central, Sofia. The event is organized by the National Agricultural Advisory Service (NAAS) in partnership with the SEASN central office in Zagreb.
The conference marks 10 years since the establishment of the network, which unites experts, research institutions, and advisory services working to modernize and promote sustainable agricultural development in the region.
One of the highlights of the program is the panel “EU AKIS in the field of climate change – development perspective and good practices such as carbon credits,” featuring Dr. Dimitar Vanev, Director of the Directorate Analysis, Planning and Information Support at the National Agricultural Advisory Service (NAAS), and Dobromir Kasabov, Head of Trade & Finance at Carbonsafe.
During his presentation, Dobromir Kasabov will share Bulgaria’s experience in developing a certified carbon farming program and Carbonsafe’s role in building trust and transparency within the voluntary carbon markets.
The event will also be attended by Chavdar Marinov, CEO of Carbonsafe, who will take part in discussions focused on innovative solutions for sustainable agriculture and the role of knowledge in the transition to a green economy.
The conference will gather representatives of agricultural advisory services from across Southeastern Europe, experts from the European Commission, as well as participants from academia and the business sector.
Topics to be discussed include:
• The role of advisory organizations in integrating knowledge and innovation in agriculture (AKIS);
• The vision for developing advisory services under the next Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) programming period;
• Good practices in climate policy and carbon credit systems;
• The future of SEASN as a platform for regional cooperation and knowledge exchange.
